Our two (New) Boys - Bo and Bentley
We have had wonderful animals! When we first
finished the property, we had Scooter, a
wonderful red-toned Golden. She was old at the
time, and only got to spend the first year or so
with us.
Then we got two boys as young puppies - and we
had some fun! Buster and Boomer were our
long-term companions, playing with the kids,
sounding the alarm when someone came in the
drive, and generally loving us!
Summer of 2016, our two boys were gone. But at
the same time we said good bye one of our
neighbors and fellow firefighters just happened to
be the proud parents of a little of little pups -
Berna-doodles with a Lab father. We couldn’t
resist, and two of the little fluff-ball puppies soon
were making their presence known in our country
home! They’re growing and learning!
Life in the country
Through the Lord’s blessing, we were
able to build a great new home in the
country, between Delaware and
Marion.
Our kids graduated high school from here, and
launched their own lives. But we weren’t done-
Sandi’s mother moved into the upstairs and with
her rooms, Stan’s ham radio room and a shared
craft room, the home is still plenty full! Especially
during the day, when the grandkids are here!
They fill our house with little people play noises
all day (except at nap time!) and keep Oma, Opa,
the dogs Bentley and Bo and Nana all busy! Stan
is on the Radnor Volunteer Fire Department.
Sarah takes care of keeping our flower beds
beautiful and her roses alive and well in the rose
garden. On warm summer days, we might just be
found lazing around the pool.
We love living in the country - away from the
noise and crowds of a city. Our neighbors are
wonderful (particularly son Zach, Brit and their
two kids who live on property next door!) and
people here take care of each other. People still
wave as they drive by, and stop to chat if passing
on one of the country roads.
